Connecting Te Ipurangi

The aim of the network is interconnectivity – individual websites that come together to make a digital ecosystem for our community.

Local organisations and businesses that join the network gain access to the benefits of working together as a community.

With one flexible server, a shared URL, and access to industry-level knowledge and support, Te Ipurangi members can save on online costs and focus more time and energy on the work that makes Raahui Pookeka Huntly great.

QR codes allow for easy access, the site tag connects members to the network, and the infographic below highlights how the websites throughout the network interact together.

Everything on the network is easily shareable on social media, and feeds can be added to membership websites, creating a full digital ecosystem of local information.

It operates through three key components:

The foundation of the network, the server hosts the websites, emails, and stores digital content for businesses and organisations within the network.

2. The URL System

Te Ipurangi provides custom URLs (such as example.huntly.co.nz or example.828.net.nz), making it easy for local businesses and groups to establish an online identity that connects them to Huntly.

3. The Network

Truly in the hands of the community

Te Ipurangi O Raahui Pookeka is designed as a community asset.

For the community to get the full benefits of Te Ipurangi, community ownership of the network is the best way forward.

We need enthusiastic Raahui Pookeka Huntly locals to sign up as members to create a charitable trust to take ownership of the network.

Working as a not-for-profit, the community organisation would maintain the network on behalf of the community and be able to seek funding to keep it going.

If you’re interested in becoming a supporting Te Ipurangi or have any questions, please fill out the Community Asset Form. Otherwise, feel free to email Jed Murtagh at admin@huntly.co.nz
